Tris[3,5-bis(trifluormethyl)fenyl]fosfine (CAS# 175136-62-6) is een nuttige chemische stof voor onderzoek, die wordt gebruikt in Staudinger-reacties tussen dichloorfenylazidederivaten en triarylfosfinen voor de vorming van aza-ylide, toepasbaar op bioconjugatie in levende cellen. Bij coördinatie met ruthenium is een verhoogde katalytische activiteit waargenomen bij de verethering van propargylalcoholen, in vergelijking met niet-gefluoreerde arylfosfinen.
