Toepassingen:Ethyl 6-Hydroxyhexanoaat(CAS:5299-60-5)wordt gebruikt als een reagens bij de synthese van kruisreactieve koolhydraatdeterminanten (CCD's) als hulpmiddelen voor in vitro allergiediagnose. Ethyl 6-Hydroxyhexanoaat wordt ook gebruikt bij de bereiding van N-5-Carboxypentyl-1-deoxymannojirimycine (C181150); een ligand die wordt gebruikt voor de bereiding van een affiniteitshars die specifiek is voor Man9-mannosidase.
